Hope Street is back with a brand new series and it’s all change in Port Devine, with a cast shake-up making the fourth series the most different to date.

The popular BBC series, which follows the lives of residents and the local police department of fictional Northern Irish seaside town Port Devine, burst onto our screens three years ago.

The first series dealt with the mysterious arrival of Detective Constable Leila Hussain, while the second series focused more on new detective Al Quinn (Stephen Hagan), who wasn’t the nice guy he pretended to be.

The third series, which Metro deemed its best to date, saw Finn’s world turned upside down as he discovered that mum Concepta (Brid Brennan) wasn’t his biological mum, while newcomer DI Jo Lipton (Karen Hassan) won the heart of Callum McCarthy (Niall Wright).
