"Chon Wang, movie star?
Chon lin biography of barack
It could happen."
The 2003 sequel to Shanghai Noon, again with screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar but this time directed by David Dobkin.
In the 1880's, the father of Chon Wang (Jackie Chan) and keeper of the Imperial Seal has been murdered by Lord Nelson Rathbone (Aidan Gillen), a member of the Parliament and the Royal Family who steals the Seal — with Wang's sister, Chon Lin (Fann Wong), witnessing the murder.
Lin follows Rathbone to London to kill him, while sending Wang a letter telling him of the murder. Wang then travels to New York to find his old companion Roy O'Bannon (Owen Wilson); together, they go to England and meet up with Lin to defeat Rathbone and get the Imperial Seal back, also foiling a plot against the Queen in the process.
Talk of a third movie titled Shanghai Dawn has been on and off for years, but nothing concrete as of late.
Tropes:
- Action Girl: Lin, who is easily the most obvious example in all two films.
